Zheng Liang

My clinical work has brought me into contact with a range of communities, each shaped by distinct strengths and forms of adversity. In Miami, I worked with women and members of the queer community confronting domestic violence and hate crimes. I have also worked closely with individuals experiencing homelessness, many of whom were living with severe substance use and mental health challenges, and whose resilience I came to know firsthand.

My work with veterans further deepened my understanding of trauma and its lasting impact, particularly when experiences of violence, loss, and moral injury are carried long after service has ended.These experiences have shaped my clinical orientation and my commitment to working with trauma in its many forms—whether arising from addiction, early developmental wounds, or pain carried across generations. I aim to offer a therapeutic space where such experiences can be spoken about with thoughtful care.
